On the August bank holiday us and Limerick Field Archery club hosted the first North Munster 100. There were over 89 competitors, from all ages groups and categories were in attendance over the two days. On Saturday, it was held here, in Black Castle Archers. At 10am the shooting started and the show was on the road.
The way it worked was, you had two chances to hit the target, if you hit the target with the first arrow, you got the higher score. There were 50 targets out and 28 lanes.
After the shooting ended in Black Castle, all the competitors travelled up to LFAC for the BBQ and the camping grounds. On Sunday, once everyone was checked in, and the groups were called out, everyone want onto the LFAC course and got the show back onto the road. BBQ was on the menu for lunch at LFAC, there was burgers, chicken, and salad available to eat. Especially after shooting 75 targets.
Once everyone was back at base camp, the scores was calculated from over the two days and the results were called. Every archer went home happy and the courses were well laid out.
